Oriana Baddeley, University of Arts London Research Centre for Transnational Art, Identity and Nation, will look at the ways in which contemporary artists have chosen to address their Mexican heritage, including the conquest, independence and the revolution.

I was born in Singapore and grew up in Europe and the UK, studying History and Theory of Art at the University of Essex. My doctoral subject formed the basis for work on the 1992 Hayward exhibition The Art of Ancient Mexico.
