Gayatri Sinha is a leading independent curator and art critic. She is based in New Delhi where she has authored a weekly column on art and visual culture for national newspaper The Hindu. Gayatri Sinha edited Expressions and Evocations: Contemporary Women Artists in India and Indian Art: An Overview, the seminal study of Indian art and its passage through modernism into post- modernism,. Exhibitions curated include ‘Cinema Still’ (2002: India Habitat Centre, New Delhi), and ‘Middle Age Spread’ (2004: National Museum, New Delhi).
