The XXIV Bienal de Sao Paulo
Collaboration
Paulo Herkenhoff will discuss his curatorship of the XXIV Bienal de Sao Paulo (1998). Herkenhoff used the influential twentieth century Brazilian cultural concept of Antropofagia (cannibalism) to set the parameters for this international exhibition - which is considered as a landmark in the history of biennales.
Introduced by Teresa Gleadowe. In collaboration with Afterall and Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art.
