'Stronger are the Powers of the People' - Rodrigo Nunes

Open Lecture

Philosopher Rodrigo Nunes will present the rarely screened films that were produced by the CPCs (Centres for Popular Culture) in Brazil between 1962 and 1979. He will discuss how the problems posed by this period were expressed in the aesthetic and political choices of filmmakers, and how this earlier intersection between poetics and popular education may be reactivated to inform current convergences between practice, politics and pedagogy.
