Courtney J. Martin
Guest Speaker - Open Lecture
Dr. Courtney J Martin, is an art historian and curator. She has curated numerous exhibitions, including, C-Series: Artists’s Books and Collective Action at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, New York, which travelled to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, England, 2005.
She collaborated on several artists’ projects, including, I Wish it Were True (2006) at the Jamaica Centre for Arts and Learning, New York. Her writings have been published in numerous volumes, exhibition catalogues and magazines, including Flash Art and Frieze. Martin is a regular contributor to Artforum. She has recently completed a doctorate on late twentieth Century British art at Yale University, was a Henry Moore Fellow, and is a Chancellor’s Post-doctoral fellow at University of California, Berkeley

Rasheed Araeen is a major international artist, whose works are held in numerous major museum collections. He was curator of the landmark exhibition, The Other Story, hosted by Hayward Gallery, London, England, and The Essential Black Art, Chisenhale Gallery, London, England.
