Moacir dos Anjos
Visiting Fellow - 2008
Moacir dos Anjos is a Research Fellow at the Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, Recife, Brazil. He is the author of Local/Global: arte em trânsito (2005, Rio de Janeiro: Zahar). He curated the 2007 edition of ‘Panorama da Arte Brasileira’ at the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, 2007. With Paulo Sérgio Duarte, he is currently curating the Brazil-focused section of ARCO Madrid (2008).
Dos Anjos was previously Chief Curator of the Museu de Arte Moderna Aloisio Magalhães MAMAM, Recife (2001-2006) and is a former member of the curatorial coordination team for the Programa Itaú Cultural Artes Visuais (2001-2003). Previous exhibitions he has organised include ‘Geração da Virada’ (2006, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo; co-curator: Agnaldo Farias); ‘Rosângela Rennó’ (2006, MAMAM) ‘Babel - Cildo Meireles’ (2006, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo).

Transnational Correspondence
Transnational Correspondence is a collaboration between TrAIN and PPGAV, the centre for fine art research of the School of Fine Arts, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. It stems from ongoing research carried out by TrAIN Research Fellow Dr Michael Asbury into the comparative reception of Brazilian art at national and international levels.
