Judy Freya Sibayan

Guest Speaker - 2007

Based in Manila, award winning artist, writer and curator Judy Freya Sibayan has performed and exhibited her work in venues worldwide. She teaches at De La Salle University, Manila and is cofounder, editor and publisher of Ctrl+P, a web-based journal for contemporary art that recently participated in the Documenta 12 magazines project.

Her projects include Scapular Gallery Nomad, a gallery that she wore daily for five years (1997-2002) and the Museum of Mental Objects MoMo, a work that proposes that her body is the museum. She was lead curator for xsXL Expanding Art (Singapore 2002) and 600 Images/60 Artists/6 curators/6 cities in 2005.
