Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, Elizabeth Lima is a founding member of the Art and Body in Occupational Therapy Research Group (1996-present). She is the author of Arte, Clínica e Loucura: território em mutação (São Paulo: Summus). Her research investigates how the fields of health and art became interrelated in Brazil throughout the 20th century. Her studies also focus on contemporary Brazilian practices that connect creative processes with the production of subjectivity.

Elizabeth Lima is an Occupational Therapy Professor. At University of São Paulo she teaches, researches and develops clinical experiences which interlinks artistic practices and therapeutic processes. Her studies are based on the writing of Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Suely Rolnik and Peter Pál Pelbart.
In 2007, she organized at Osasco Municipal Theatre the IN PACTO Exhibition Opening Symposia which opened a collective exhibition with works of art produced by the participants of the Artistic Composition and Occupational Therapy Program, which she leads in collaboration with Professor Eliane Dias de Castro.
